tokicohipostruts

Description: Tokico's high performance struts and shocks feature the same high quality as their top-of-the-line Illumina shocks in a less expensive non-adjustable package. Their dampening is tuned to a firm "sport" mode for maximum control without being harsh.

Pros: Great handling upgrade over stock
Cons:

These shocks really make the handle and launch better. I have them installed with Steeda Sport springs which makes a good combo.

Pros: Way better handling, much smoother ride.
Cons: None...

Is you're stang is a daily drive like mine is, but you still like to have a lil fun every now and then? Well, this is the set-up for you. These shox/struts made my 97GT ride like a new car. My old set-up had been beat to death, so any improvement was good. Unless you're a track hound, there's no need to get the adjustables. My car is lowered just over an inch and a half so I went with the FOX body set-up. It worked wonders for my ride that's for sure. I paid $270 shipped for both shocks and both struts at www.stangsuspension.com. Next day shipping if you're in Cali. Should have done this years ago...

Pros: Performance, Ride Comfort
Cons: none

Installed on a 98 Mustang along with Steeda Sport Springs. They're shocks and struts, and they do what they need to do in order to support the lowered car. Great perfomance out of a non-adjustable shock/strut.

Pros: Improved handling
Cons: Ride can be harsh on bad roads

I have the Tokicos that are oem on the Mach 1. They offer a firmer ride with improved handling. The rear shocks can be rough on bad roads.

A great value for the money.

Pros: Low price
Cons: Wears out fast

I didn't feel much improvment over stock struts with eibach pro kit springs. One strut went bad after 3 months of normal street driving, had to re-install stock strut. The other has lasted meanwhile but it is started to soften up too. No more shortcuts, next time Bilsteins!!

Pros: Way better than stock and there also cheap!!!
Cons:

I dont mind driving my car down the interstate anymore it rides so much better!!! I went from stock to the tokico shocks. I also added H&R SS springs with them. The ride is firm but thats what I wanted. Good shocks & struts. I got mine off Ebay, both shocks & struts for $260 free shipping. 1991 GT

Pros: warranty, ride quality, versitile enough for every driver
Cons: one shock went bad after 6 months

ez to put in. great shocks/struts for every application. ie drifting, straightline acceleration, road-gripping. one shock did go bad fairly quickly, after 6 months, but was replaced by the lifetime warranty (be sure to mail that in).

Pros: Cheap, retains ride comfort, makes car feel more connected to the road.
Cons: Cheap lol, don't last very long.

These are good shocks for OEM replacement and when going to a slightly higher spring rate (I used Eibach Pro-Kit springs). The quality on these things seems good enough, but I've noticed that mine are becoming noisy, and don't rebound very smooth (after 10k miles). I've driven the car somewhat hard, but really they should have lasted longer. I would reccomend these based on price, BUT, if you want a performance shock/strut go with Bilstein or the higher end Tokico Illumina shocks/struts!

Pros: Great price, great handling, great product
Cons: Non-adjustable

The car rides and handles really well with these new shocks/struts installed. They were installed in conjunction with Steeda springs, so I don't know how much of a difference they made together, but the combo works excellent.

Pros: none noticeable
Cons: harsher ride

I already had my springs installed - eibach pro's. So I had a chance to review these objectively. The only thing I noticed is a more harsh ride. I guess they are better but really have no idea. No noticeable improvement in handling what-so-ever..
