Description:
|
The adjuster locks in place every 90 degrees of turn without the use of a jam nut or set screw. A spring-loaded ball-bearing clicks into a machined groove in the adjuster screw's threads. The adjuster can easily be turned in either direction by hand pressure but when the ball bearing is resting in the groove, there is enough resistance to keep the adjuster screw from moving on its own. You'll notice a bearing pressed into the face of the screw. The clutch cable end passes through this bearing thus allowing the adjuster screw to be turned independently from the cable.
Features & Benefits:
* Anodized 6061 T-6 billet aluminum: No corrosion
* Thick mounting plate secured by up to four screws: Helps eliminate firewall flex for smooth clutch operation.
* Radial ball-bearing: Keeps the cable from interfering with adjustment.
* Screws, a drill bit and detailed instructions are included.
* Compatible with OE and aftermarket clutch cables.
What makes this adjuster better than the competition's version?
1. The flange of the adjuster "nut" or firewall mounting plate measures 3/8" thick. This bolsters the thin sheetmetal of the firewall and helps to keep it from flexing. The overall surface area is 2.15" X 2.4".
2. There are 4 slotted screw locations which provides for greater installation flexibility. If 3 or 4 of the holes are utilized, the amount of adjuster movement is non-existent.
3. Each Micro-click adjuster is hand-assembled (by me!) using just the right "touch" that I have acquired over the last three years ensuring the customer that every adjuster on the shelf is of equal quality. I know exactly how this product should operate and "feel" because it's my design!
4. Both competitor versions do not utilize a radial ball-bearing in the face of the adjuster screw. This feature keeps the cable from trying to twist with the adjuster. Most customers have commented that they love this feature!
5. The Micro-click is clear anodized so that it will look great under the hood of any Mustang! Worth $49.95? You betcha!

Pros:
|
Easy and quick to use.

Cons:

|

Very easy to make a quick adjustment in a parking lot, has a nice positive click and never comes out of adjustment. Best of all you dont need any tools. Might be kind of hard to screw the base on the firewall with the engine in. But I had my engine out, so it was easy.
